In the 1920's (following World War One) a frantic man tells of running, hiding and dangerous encounters experienced in a western hideaway that could be entered only by rough trail; a place surrounded by animals - some tame...others wild and ferocious. In the valleys below his sanctuary were people with whom he dare not share his dark secret. He struggles to adjust to a new way of life that is free of the sophistication of indoor plumbing, electricity and even automobiles. This primitive lifestyle is described in a one-year long, four-seasons experience which details his eminent contact with neighbors and his struggle to protect the one he holds most dear. This man deals with incredible frustration, loneliness, fear, guilt, excitement and finally love and triumph; all told in a captivating manner.
The author is an artist who has studied with the Dextheimer School of Art and has done a one- person show on subjects of nature, plus a number of sidewalk art shows. She designed and painted the cover of "Yesterseasons" which hints of the books contents. She now lives in La Quinta, California.
