Megan Viets, a mystery writer, witnesses a real murder in a resort town in the San Bernardino Mountains, where she lives with her disabled husband and small son. When the sheriff, Megan's handsome brother-in-law, allows her to inspect the victim's clothes, she recognizes the labels as belonging to a famous London tailor. She is ultimately able to help capture a fugitive on the FBI's most-wanted list and ultimately solves the mystery.
