by Marc Weitz (Author)
Sophie Cutler, a sharp-witted journalist, lands a seemingly routine assignment: a puff piece on a philanthropic organization in Northern Europe. But from her very first bizarre dinner with the charity's enigmatic head, Dr. Warren, Sophie senses something is amiss. Her journalistic instincts scream, leading her from the pristine facade of Helsinki to the drab, unsettling clinics of the Baltics, where unanswered questions begin to pile up like snowdrifts in the bitter winter.
A native Californian, Marc Weitz runs a law practice in downtown Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Finance and Environmental Conservation, lived in New York City for four years, and then attended Southwestern University School of Law. His travels inspire his writing. As of 2016, he's been to just under 100 countries. His first novel, For Freedom and Danger, is set on the African Front in World War I and is available through Amazon.com. Marc Weitz hopes to continue traveling and writing about far-off places.
