by Travis W. McKee (Author)
Adapted from the 1712 play by Joseph Addison, this is the Tragedy of Cato rewritten in contemporary language as a novella. Cato, the patrician senator of Rome, rallies resistance against the usurper, Caesar. Holding a redoubt in Utica, Cato leverages his reputation for virtue to mount a challenge to Caesar from North Africa, but throughout, Caesar leverages the vanities of men to undermine all of the patricians efforts.
