Cristina Rivera Garza is a 2020 MacArthur "Genius Grant" fellow and a finalist for 2020 National Book Critics Circle Award. Her writing has been translated into English, French, Portuguese, Korean, and more. Born in Mexico in 1964, she has lived in the United States since 1989. She is Distinguished Professor in Hispanic Studies and Director of Creative Writing at the University of Houston. A collection of her short fiction, New and Selected Stories, will be published by Dorothy in spring 2022.
