Set in Los Angeles in the 1980s. Our hero's life is changed after a near-death experience. Thane Winstrom is led on a journey of discovery when, during a nearly fatal accident, he glimpses the "other side," coming to learn that there is more to life than he realized, both on Earth and after death. Thane's experience causes him to dream every night, and Thane begins sensing and connecting to a natural energy coming from the Earth itself. This energy is personified in his recurring dreams when he discovers his dream alter-ego, an Arthurian heroic character named Sarghon, prophesied and destined to save his world from a dark and powerful tyrannical King. Surrounded by a sentient forest, mythical beasts, and new, magical friends, Sarghon (Thane's dream alter-ego) sets off on a fantastical adventure of discovery and power.

In the real world, Thane follows his instincts, leading him on a reckless mission driven by environmental passion, as he attempts to do all he can to save the planet from the failures of human negligence and pollution. He ends up trying to stop a nuclear test on the Tahitian atoll of Mururoa, sparking an adventure just as wild as in his dream world. Both worlds begin to weave back and forth, influencing each other in dramatic and unexpected ways, as each scenario plays out in this epic tale of fantasy, reality, dreams, and utter adventure!

Bravery, Adventure, and Destiny are strong themes of this story -...as well as environmentalism, fantasy, and spirituality. But bravery indeed is in your blood. It's a presence of strength within you that you don't know you already have."
Thane believes humanity may be entering the next phase of evolution. "We are evolving!" Paul Bradley Sterman has been writing since he was a child. While mostly a writer of music, poetry, and short stories, his creativity and wild imagination has led to this novel. Being an LA native, Paul is first and foremost a creative spirit, continually striving to be innovative and artistic. As a writer, he has been published in IN-LA Magazine, and as an international pop-music composer/lyricist throughout Europe. Paul's writing also includes musical theater: book, lyrics and music of the musical, CHASING DREAMS, an original pop/rock/Broadway style musical.
