The President's young daughter, a drug user, is found brutally murdered. Moved by his guilt as an absent parent and anger at the growing number of deaths of young people from drug overdose, he launches a campaign in brutality equal to the ruthlessness of the drug lords. The president turns to a paramilitary force known as the "Darkmen." These guerilla fighters are former US special forces who have committed their lives to the executive to be called into action when all other public measures prove fruitless or by its very nature cannot be conducted using normal military forces. They take their orders only from the president and are accountable only to him. Once activated only he can recall them. He launches the Darkmen to exact revenge for his daughter's death and to eliminate the East coast drug network. Their mission is to instill fear in their targets and ends with the death of their opponents. It begins in Venezuela with unparallelled ferocity and continues through to Baltimore, Maryland. Wherever they go, death follows. Their motto is "Death Is a Visitor Who Comes in the Night. Beware" together with an Egyptian scarab.
