Epic High Fanatasy: Seven lost artefacts, political intrigue and a war across three continentsThe peoples of Wetherid survived the war. Twenty years later, a power awakens that is worse than anything they have known.

Two decades have passed since the Battle of Ib'Agier. The old companions have laid down their weapons. Vrenli lives with his family in Tawinn and guards the Book of Wetherid. Gorathdin rules at the side of Queen Lythinda over Astinhod. Borlix, the dwarven paladin, has hung up his axe.

Then Master Drobal returns with a warning.

Deep beneath the volcanoes of Fallgar, the orc shaman Gorzod Greywing has summoned a power from the Spirit World. It grows stronger with every night. If it is not stopped, the war of old may prove to have been only the beginning.

In ancient texts, Drobal finds references to seven artefacts lost for centuries. They were forged in an age when the Spirit World last threatened to break into the world of the living. The first artefact, the Crystal of Seeing, is said to lie hidden in the Nordland.

Vrenli, Gorathdin and Borlix set out once more. At their side stand Aarl, the knife-thrower from Thir, and Werlis, Vrenli's one-armed friend since childhood. Their path leads over the border pass into a land of ice, fjords and old gods. There, jarls and a konge rule by their own laws. Strangers from the south are not welcome.

While the companions vanish into the Nordland, Astinhod crumbles from within. The Regency Council - nine nobles with their own interests - splits into factions. Old feuds resurface. New alliances form. And someone is using the chaos to weaken the kingdom before the next war begins.

In Fallgar, Gorzod Greywing forges a dark alliance. Orcs, Gray Dwarves, Mist Elves, Ogres and Undead gather under one banner. Each people pursues its own goals. Every ruler has his own plan. The alliance is formidable. But no one knows whether it will hold when blood begins to flow.

The Guardians of the Seven Artefacts opens the second cycle of The Chronicles of Wetherid: uncompromising epic fantasy without romantasy, with multiple storylines, political power struggles, old alliances, betrayal, war and a detailed world with its own peoples and cultures.
