MICHAEL OLIVER was the first Professor of Disability Studies in the United Kingdom and is currently Emeritus Professor at the University of Greenwich, UK.

BOB SAPEY is Senior Lecturer in Applied Social Science at Lancaster University, UK, where he teaches on disability and mental health.

PAM THOMAS is a Freelance Researcher and Consultant in disability equality and independent living, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre for Disability Research, Lancaster University, UK.
