Author Biography

Tamela Miles is a published horror and paranormal romance author, well known for her short stories and novellas. Her work also appears in the Independent Author Index Short Story Compilation, Volume 4. She took first prize in 2011 from the "Voices of Compton Literary Journal," published by El Camino College, for her short story, "Breathe," which is included in her horror compilation, Rock, Paper, Scissors. Ms. Miles is a graduate student with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development. She also freelances as a child development advocate in her downtime, which she wishes she had more of. She welcomes the challenge and satisfaction of writing a good story and can't imagine doing anything else with her time. She loves all things horror and marrying it to romance in her work is always exciting. Romance is great, but add in a demon and Halloween's Michael Myers riding on the back of dragon and she's hooked. She grew up in the chilly foothills of Altadena, California during the tumultuous but golden 1980s. She now comfortably resides with her family in the Inland Empire, California and often uses her view of the beautiful foothills in the area to inspire her as she stays planted in her chair to write. When she isn't busy unleashing her both frightening and steamy stories on unsuspecting readers, she is lost in reading books, watching true crime drama shows, and enjoying many genres of music.
