by Keith Nixon (Author)

'Criminally underrated.' MW Craven, author of the Sunday Times bestselling Washington Poe series

Vengeful dead rock stars, a ruthless gangland boss, a life in the balance. An explosive combination with Konstantin the flickering flame.

There's an Elvis convention in town and versions of the dead superstar are all over Margate. But it seems there's more than one hip-swiveller in a sequined suit in town for another reason - all seem to have a past connection to Konstantin. And not a good one.

The Stanley brothers are a long way from home. They're looking for The Vessel. So is Karl Turner, who's in a race to save his life, because he's the one who lost The Vessel in the first place. The Stanleys aren't known for their forgiving nature. Quite the opposite.

Enter Fidelity Brown, constant jagged edge in Konstantin's side. She's on a mission to rescue her sister from the clutches of local criminal kingpin, Hepburn. As usual with Fidelity situations go sideways fast, so Konstantin reluctantly steps into the fray.

As the Stanleys, the Elvis impersonators, and Hepburn unite, they have their cross-hairs set squarely on Konstantin's heart. It seems nothing and no one can deter them.

When anybody who's trouble needs help they always turn to Konstantin, the man with many secrets of his own. But serenity is a luxury he can't afford in seedy Margate.

My Middle Name Is Misery is the unique crime thriller run through with a thick vein of dark humour, perfect for fans of Lee Child, Mark Dawson, Carl Hiaasen and David Baldacci.
