Every woman has felt it. The unease. Walking alone.

Thirty years ago, the Towpath Prowler turned the Leeds & Liverpool Canal near Skipton into every woman's nightmare

Eight attacks. One woman never found. He's been locked away ever since.

When a true-crime YouTuber documents the thirty-year-old cold case, his video explodes overnight.

Days later, a young woman is attacked on the same lonely stretch of towpath. Then another.

Same hunting ground. Same methods. And the attacker knows details that were never made public.

The Prowler is back. Except he can't be.

Tyrone Dupas is serving life in a high-security psychiatric hospital, and that's where DCI Frank Finnegan must go to understand the man who made the canal his hunting ground.

Dupas will talk-for a price. A fine cigar. A little respect. A game only he knows how to play.

With suspects stacking up and no DNA match, DI Prisha Kumar goes undercover-a woman alone on a narrowboat, moored on the Prowler's favourite dark stretch of water.

The plan is simple. Lure him out.

Lock Keeper is Book 13 in the DCI Finnegan Yorkshire Crime Thriller series-fast-paced murder investigations starring Finnegan and his team, set in Whitby and across North Yorkshire.
