The massacre of George Armstrong Custer's entire command at the battle of The Little Bighorn in 1876 was the worst defeat suffered by the US Army during the so-called Indian Wars, but were there any actual survivors among Custer troops? Most historians would say no, however, there were three fewer bodies found at the site than the number of soldiers in the five companies led by Custer.
