With laugh-out-loud comedy, loads of hilarious action and some of the coolest characters ever written, this book really does have it all. The story grabbed me from the very first page and moved at a quick but steady pace all the way through. The characters are simply marvelous; very relatable, fun, quirky, and, more importantly, likable and real. With so many suspects, it was hard to figure out whodunnit and the story just keeps you guessing all the way through. A fabulous story, a fun adventure with a little bit of senior romance to sweeten the deal, and plenty of laughs along the way. Highly recommended read.

I'd hoped to avoid entering the barn until, well, the end of time, seeing as how it was home to multiple half-ton, hairy owners of huge teeth, sharp hooves, and bad attitudes. Yet here I was, speeding down the corridor and avoiding eye contact with the occupants.
