Author Biography

At the age of eleven, I was encouraged to start writing by two of the best friends I have ever had the fortune of meeting. I started with simple stories of horses and love, but eventually I grew to understand the passion that is writing. As I grew, both as a young woman and in my education, my writing has continuously evolved into a style I think is unique in its very own way.
In college, my love grew due to a wonderful English professor who really encouraged me to pursue writing a book. Thus, Expectations was born my junior year in college at North Carolina State University after I went through some trying situations that really allowed me to figure out who I was becoming and whether or not I agreed with that woman. One evening, I had a nightmare and this novel was born. Truly though, it was shaped by my life experiences in college and the path I was forced upon and how I ended up realizing that life may hold many expectations for me, but I was the one that actually got to choose which ones I wanted to honor.
Now living in Raleigh, North Carolina with my first "big-girl" job, I am using my newfound free time to fully immerse myself in the imaginary worlds I wish existed. I hope to welcome you to these worlds and help you fall in love with them as I did so long ago when I once believed that the imaginary world was better than the real world.
