by Jennifer O'Brien (Author)

Buster Brown Best Dog In Town, is the story of one very special Chesapeake Bay Retriever. After a surgery at age 11, followed by losing his very best friend two months later, Buster Brown found himself with a new sister and a new life. Buster Brown went back to basic obedience class for exercise and to bond with his new sister. He made lots of new friends and was encouraged to take his test to be certified as a Canine Good Citizen. At age 12, he also passed his test to become certified as a therapy dog and has spread his brand of sweetness and love to those he meets. He is 14 years young at the time of publishing and remains active as a therapy dog. This is his story. This book would be good for new readers since there is word repetition throughout; as well as children age 6 and under.

Author Biography

Jennifer O'Brien spends most of her time talking about and training with her dogs. She considers herself a novice at almost anything she tries to do as she has a philosophy that one should continue striving to learn new things and improve upon those things one knows. At the age of 32, she adopted her first dog, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Buster Brown, as a way to work past her lifelong fear of dogs. Buster Brown was such a good dog that three more dogs have been happy additions to her life. Jennifer and Buster Brown are certified as a therapy dog team and try to go out and "see the people" as often as possible.
