Campbellton Road follows the stories of Gambian immigrants in this heritage corridor of southwest Atlanta, once the heart and soul of this community. Totting their old beliefs, ways and notions, they came with the general intention to better themselves and then return home. But as was always the case, fate had other plans.

For a society that was also still undergoing its own emergence from the throes of the civil rights era, Atlanta of the 90's and 2000's became this melting pot, in which these characters portrayed, in their quest for that elusive American Dream or for some, just survival, encountered some very complex societal challenges that would reveal their true selves and ultimately redefine that old concept of home.
